A compatible Android tablet that you supply, a charger and outlet, internet, and someone there to help set it up. No tablet is included. We haven't published a supported-tablet list yet. Initial support is planned only for a tested list of Android tablets.
The aim is to show whether the app has received a change and when it can't confirm that. A received change wouldn't prove that the physical screen is visible or that your parent read it. Power, internet or tablet problems may need someone onsite.
No. Vela Glance is being built to display the information you choose. It doesn't monitor your parent's wellbeing, detect emergencies or replace human care. Having plans on a screen doesn't establish whether someone notices, understands or follows them.
The initial plan is for caregivers and their parents' tablets in the 50 United States or Washington, DC, with an English-language experience. There is no announced household-access date.
